Expect a sporty little sedan produced by Fiat to be marketed in the United States soon if the negotiation between Chrysler and Fiat pushes through. The Fiat Bravo was supposedly one of the vehicles shown by Chrysler to dealers in Michigan. Chrysler design head Ralph Gilles said the company intends to have its own version with an exterior designed by Chrysler and the chassis designed by Fiat.
The Fiat Bravo, which is shorter than the Caliber by 3 inches and shorter than the Nissan Versa and the Honda Civic by half a foot, measures 170 inches long. Gilles however said they would use a new sheet metal based on the small car’s platform.
At this time when established car companies are closing down or are about to close down it is always refreshing to hear car manufacturers cooperate and come up with new car models that will met the demands of the times. This partnership between Chrysler and Fiat would be interesting.
